Quite a few salmon on the fishing grounds today. Saw a least 30 fish in rapids this morning at 8 am. Watching some run the rapids now. If you get tired of the crowds buy a pass.
Coho and Kings baby and a Steelhead! Nice thing about Whisky River is space to fish. The Glasshole is know for it’s Steelhead fishing.
Just took Caesar for a walk and saw 10 to 15 fish cruise through riffles on lower end of the Glass Hole. More later on today
A nice cool morning here on the Salmon River at 55 degrees. Only a few fish to be found but this cool weather this weekend and rain early next week may turn them on. This area of Whisky River is used to relieve sore backs and arm after some fishing fun. Maybe you might want to even smoke a cigar.
460 is the flow today and the water is clearing up. Two pontoon fisherman went by and said saw just a few fish. I am going to try to get some drone footage tomorrow of the river conditions.
A little misty on the river this morning but still a beautiful view first thing. You can just see the river in the distance. Our backyard is a great place to fish and just hang out with friends when your arm gets tired of catching. We have 1/4 mile of stream frontage on the “Glass Hole” and over 11 acres to enjoy.
Nice dam release this weekend. Hopefully more salmon push up the river. Caesar doesn’t mind the increased flow.
